There is an old, rusted key I keep in my drawer.
It opens nothing, belongs nowhere, and yet I cannot throw it away.
To anyone else, it would look like scrap metal—a useless object.
But to me, it’s a remnant of a life I once lived, a version of myself I barely remember.
The key used to unlock a wooden music box, long lost in a fire.
